Problem Statement: Students must practice understanding and empathizing with others, either on the other side of history, or the other side of the tracks. Studying history allows us the opportunity to go beyond our own lives and practice these skills.
Design Statement: Students select 1 primary source from each category (cause of great depression, effect of great depression and new deal agency). Students create teenage characters and write a historical fiction story that links the 3 sources. Create a unique photograph that represents their story.
