Chapter 24 Learning Goals:  Explain the causes and effects of World War II.
         24.1: Explain how World War II began and why the United States became involved
         24.2 Discuss how the home front responded to American participation in the war
         24.3: Explain how the Allies win World War II and what were the result


THE PROBLEM:  
Historians arrive at knowledge by carefully reading and interpreting sources from the past. Yet most textbooks hide this process by presenting history as a series of uncontested, fixed events. This leads to a misunderstanding of the usefulness of studying history.

DESIGN STATEMENT:
“Open up” the textbook and make your own history by creating a descriptive story animation written in plain English based on a topic that explains the causes and effects of World War II

LARGE GROUP: The GOOD and BAD of a story told "In Plain English"
