US FOREIGN CONFLICTS ARGUMENT

HW: Read the Text homework pages 836-841, 855-859, and now 943-948 too. Complete parts 1, 2 and 3. Due Friday, May 24th.

Goal: After researching teacher selected sources, including primary source materials on arguments for and against US involvement in major American foreign conflicts, write an essay that argues your position on US involvement in foreign conflicts.

Context:
      Throughout the 20th century, the US has become involved in many conflicts around the world.  These foreign policy decisions have been motivated by four general factors - power, protection, principles and profit.

Task: 

• State your opinion on US involvement in foreign conflicts
• Defend your opinion by discussing US involvement in at least 2 conflicts
