Project Design Brief
Problem Statement: Individuals react to significant events differently depending on their point of view.
Design Statement: Create teenage characters and, in a historically based narrative, share their reactions as they experienced the events of the Great Depression.
CONSTRAINTS:
- Respond to 3 different primary sources (Cause, Effect, and New Deal)
- Product is unique, shows careful planning and clearly expresses our own thoughts.
- Include Dialog, Descriptive Details, Plot Development
- Apply what you have just learned in new ways
- Use STEAM Google Doc Folder
- Polish writing
Editor: Focus on the Final Product
You are responsible for creating the final product. You are good at staying on task, you are organized and are focused on the creating an organized and edited story.
Author: Focus on the Story
You are responsible for keeping the story consistent and focused. You are a strong communicator and understand the importance of an organized and detailed story. Focus on gaining details that will make your story interesting to read.
Historian A: Focus on the Evidence
You are responsible for making sure that the sources are used properly in the story. You have an inquisitive mind and are creative. Make sure that your story includes specific proof from the visuals assigned to your group. You are pulling out the meaning in the source.
Historian B: Focus on Historical Accuracy
You are responsible for ensuring that the story is historically accurate. Constantly be looking for references you can include and language you can substitute. You are task driven, organized and creative!
